Dear Sisterwoman Community …

March 1, 2010 in Uncategorized by Sally

Dear Sisterwoman Community:

Sisterwoman asks: If you are a sister with something to say about motherhood, wifehood, singlehood or what it’s like to be a hood, would you like to share your wisdom with other women? We’re actively seeking talented bloggers for our new and improved site, which will be launching later this week.

So you know, the new Sisterwoman will be “integrating” Facebook with Sisterwoman.com. That’s just a techy way of saying that you can share all the Sisterwoman goodness with your FB girlfriends so we can all share our collective wisdom and support. Think of Sisterwoman.com as your own little women’s only oasis within You’ll be able to log into the new Sisterwoman via your Facebook account. If you don’t have Facebook, well, now’s the time to join up out there.

The new Sisterwoman will include:

  • Fresh opinions and articles by real Sisterwomen
  • Forums where you can ask questions of the community
  • A way to share things that interest you with your Facebook friends

Since its inception, Sisterwoman has been an online journal celebrating friendship. We hope you that you’ll invite your friends, and they’ll invite their friends, to be part of our million girlfriend march through the vast world of invites, fan clubs, virtual farming apps and mafia battles.

So glad you’re part of the Sisterhood.

Peace and love,

Sally

Perfect Drink for Girls Night Out

September 4, 2009 in Uncategorized by Sally

When Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda went south of the border for Carrie’s non-honeymoon (you know, after commitment-phobic Mr. Big stood her up at the alter), they probably downed several of these – the tequilified version of the ever-popular Cosmopolitan. Serve it with chips and salsa at the next party and it’s sure to become everyone’s new favorite girls night out drink.

1 1/2 ounces of white tequila
3/4 ounce of triple sec
2 ounces of cranberry juice
Juice from 1/2 of a lime

Mix the above with ice in a shaker.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Top it off with a lime wheel
