Hi there, How are you hanging in there? I was surprised to hear Dave’s mom was coming home from Barbados. I was picturing her too ill to be doing things like travelling. Have you had a rough winter. I know our winter has been colder than we are used to. Or shall I say the winters seem to be getting colder as the years pass. We have had so much rain this year. It is incredible after several years of drought. We had nearly 5 inches in February alone. I am so ready for spring to finally come along. Have you been watching the Olympics? I don’t actually watch it but have been trying to keep up with the news on it.( I don’t really watch a lot of tv.) Sounds like it has been very exciting.
My parents are doing fairly well right now. The little ones are doing great. They sure keep their mom busy. The two boys are always into something. Our little princess is growing so big. She pulls up on furniture and people now and pulls herself along. I know what you mean about missing your parents. For nearly 20 years my parents lived in NJ and we were down in GA and I missed them all the time. Well I need to get ready for work. Keep warm. Hugs.

PS Do you know how we notify someone about an inappropriate message received on here? I got one of of those letters here trying to get money, but can’t figure out how to report it.

Sorry I haven’t been around much for some time. It has been hectic crazy at work in the past couple of months. And of course there was the scare with my mom two weeks ago. Although I handled everything with my parents well, when I got home reaction seemed to set in. I have just been so exhausted. I do try to read all my e-mails, but sometimes have a difficult time writing. Hopefully things will become less hectic here so I can get back into some sort of routine.
We have been lucky that we didn’t get hit with any of the snow that hit the south the last couple weeks. We have had and expect more rain this week. Talk about a turn around from the past 7 years of drought. .Thank goodness for the El Nino year. Keep warm and safe.
The good news is that the days are getting longer. Yesterday at around 6:15 pm it was still light. That alone is enough to brighten the spirits!

It’s been raining here for the last 2 days with rain in the forecast for the week as well.

Last month we had rain for about 19 days out of what 30? It stopped just long enough for me to get the yard man to come mow. My front flower beds are grown up with weeds. I was hoping to get it just entirely tilled up for the fall, but it looks like that will even have to wait.

I’m having a Holiday Open House in November and I’ve got to get the yard cleaned up by then! I’d hate to have a house full of people and my front garden looking a mess.
